Gynecological Services and Minimally Invasive Laparoscopic Surgery

Recognizing women’s unique medical needs, the department addresses the health concerns of females with sensitivity and professionalism. Kingsbrook’s gynecological suite is designed for maximum comfort and privacy. Inpatient and ambulatory gynecological surgery are routinely performed at the Medical Center.

Laparoscopic surgery, a minimally-invasive technique used for the removal of fibroid tumors, is also now available through the services of a renowned specialist in this field. Obstetrics (pre- and post-partum) care is coordinated in conjunction with an affiliated hospital, where the deliveries take place. Kingsbrook also operates a Breast Health Partnership that offers complimentary breast health screenings to women who are uninsured or underinsured, providing care to those that may not normally be able to afford it.
