Non-Invasive Vascular Laboratory
The mission of Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center's Non-Invasive Vascular
Laboratory is to detect vascular disease in its early stages. The Vascular
Lab offers state-of-the-art equipment and painless, non-invasive procedures
to evaluate arterial, cerebral, and venous diseases. Duplex scanning utilizes
ultrasound to identify vascular lesions of the upper and lower extremities,
abdominal aortic aneurysms, and peripheral arterial disease. Modern diagnostic
procedures are used to evaluate for stroke risk, for obstructive arterial
and venous diseases, and for cardiac vascular insufficiency. Experienced,
friendly technologists explain the procedures, perform the tests, and
answer all questions during these essentially risk-free diagnostic tests.
Kingsbrook is the area's first Intersocietal Commission Accredited
Vascular Lab (ICAVL), assuring an unsurpassed level of excellence in our
facilities and patient care.
