Orthopedic Surgical Residency Program
Training Tomorrow's Great Orthopedic Surgeons
The Division of Orthopedic Surgery at Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center
maintains an independently-accredited Orthopedic Surgery Residency Program
approved by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).
This five-year program is led by an academic program director and a board-certified
teaching staff, including specialists in Adult Reconstructive Joint Surgery,
Foot and Ankle Surgery, Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery, Oncology , Trauma,
Pediatric Surgery, Spinal Surgery and Sports Medicine, as well as in Orthopedic
Basic Science and Research.
Teaching faculty hold academic appointments at Weill Cornell Medical College
of Cornell University.
Residents rotate at both Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center in Brooklyn,
which is the sponsoring institution, and at New York Downtown Hospital
in Manhattan, which is the primary hospital affiliate for this program.
