Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center and Mt. Zion Church of God 7th Day will celebrate the 8th
Annual Unity Gospel Fest, on Sunday, October 8th from 4:00-7:00pm. This unique event was designed to celebrate the connection
between physical and spiritual wellness, through featuring the healing
sounds of gospel along with health and wellness information for Kingsbrook
medical professionals. The event will be held in Kingsbrook’s Lillian
Minkin Ballroom, located at 585 Schenectady Avenue between Winthrop Street
and Rutland Road and is free to the Central Brooklyn community.
Pastor Gilford Monrose of Mt. Zion Church of God 7th Day is a key coordinator of this day of praise and worship and is committed
to growing this event annually via partners and sponsors. “This
event has been such a blessing to our community that is very spiritually
committed and connected. It is such a powerful showcase of spiritual talent
and camaraderie,” he stated.
The exciting day features a variety of choirs and gospel artists, and is
an impressive reflection of spirituality in this vibrant community. Upon
entry to the event, guests are greeted by Kingsbrook health care professionals
and its unique Community Ambassador Unit, providing options for screenings,
medical services and educational information before entering the ballroom
to experience an incredible display of musical praise and worship.
“We anticipate over 300 persons each year at this incredible event.
It is a truly a unique and inspirational experience,” stated, Enid
Dillard, Director of Marketing & Public Affairs at Kingsbrook. “Kingsbrook
has worked with many church partners over the years to advance the health
of the community via early detection, education and awareness efforts.
However, this event is a true testimony to the power of community partnerships
and how we work together in the spirit of wellness.”
