August 29, 2015, Brooklyn. NY--Kingsbrook is proud to present its Health
Expo on its main campus in the courtyard, located at Rutland Road between
Schenectady Avenue and 49th Street. The event will feature a myriad of screenings health, wellness
education and information stations for specialty services. The event is
scheduled from 10:00-4:00pm.
The Health Expo will feature screening stations throughout the park-like
grounds and will include hypertension, asthma, diabetes, stroke and body
mass index BMI. Also, Kingsbrook’s Pharmacy Department will be on
hand to conduct medication evaluations, so guests should bring their medications
with them for the assessment of safe interactions. Additionally, Kingsbrook’s
Best Health School will provide a number of educational classes in our
ballroom area. Classes include: CPR, Diabetes Management, Advanced Directives
and a special Zumba class! A special children’s activity section
will be hosted as well. Health Insurance Consult, Immigration Services
and Advocacy Services will also be provided by local community partners.
“Our Health Expo is Kingsbrook’s way of giving back to our
community as well as increasing access to needed services such as early
detection options and education,” says Enid Dillard, Director of
Marketing and Public Affairs. “We’ve made sure to coordinate
a wide range of services that speak to the unique health care needs of
the community.”
