One Brooklyn Health System at Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center, is committed
to being transparent about our charges. This site provides information
about all the charges for all services and items provided by the hospital.
The charges are uniform for all patients served by the hospital.
Hospital charges rarely reflect the expected out-of-pocket expense for
a specific hospital service. The specific charges for services you received,
what you will be billed and your out-of-pocket expenses, will depend on
one or more of the following:
· The actual patient care services received
· The terms of your insurance coverages, and/or
Your eligibility for financial assistance
If you have additional questions, please review this
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS document.
* For a more complete understanding of your estimated out-of-pocket expenses,
you should contact your insurer or the hospital’s patient financial
counseling department at 718-604-5542.

Kingsbrook participates in the Medicare and Medicaid programs. We also
participate with a number of commercial plans, HMO’s, PPO’s,
and managed care plans. Present your insurance identification cards upon
admission, along with information on any hospitalization insurance you
may have. Many insurance companies now require that the patient call for
pre-certification prior to admission. Please do so, if necessary. The
hospital may request a deposit to cover the deductible, co-payment, or
fees for non-insured services. If you have any questions regarding your
coverage, call our Patient Access Department.
