Welcome to Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center

Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center, located in the East Flatbush section of Central Brooklyn, was founded in 1925 as a chronic care facility to serve the then Jewish Community within a cultural context. As the community has evolved and diversified, Kingsbrook has expanded its services and programs, to meet the needs of the large culturally diverse communities that it now serves.

Kingsbrook is an 784-bed medical training institution, comprised of a 318-bed acute care hospital and a 466-bed adult and pediatric skilled nursing long-term care facility. In addition to its celebrated Kingsbrook Rehabilitation Institute, Kingsbrook's Centers of Excellence include Brooklyn's only NYS licensed Traumatic Brain Injury and Coma Recovery Unit, and a Geriatric Inpatient Psychiatry service, a premiere program serving the mentally challenged elderly throughout the borough.

The Kingsbrook Rehabilitation Institute is a comprehensive, acute-care program, one of the oldest and finest on the East Coast. The professional staff is committed to maximizing function and quality of life for individuals of all ages who are physically or cognitively challenged.
