KINGSBROOK'S BEST HEALTH SCHOOL PROVIDES FREE CPR TRAINING FOR THE COMMUNITY
Saturday, October 26th in the Lillian Minkin Ballroom
Brooklyn, NY-- Kingsbrook's
Best Health School provides free education and early detection options for Central Brooklyn
residents all year round. On Saturday, October 26th from 11:00-2:00pm
CPR training will take place on our main campus at
585 Schenectady Avenue between Winthrop Street & Rutland Road in the Lillian Minkin Ballroom.
The mission of the
Best Health School is to provide better access to wellness information and screenings to promote
healthier communities in the borough of Brooklyn. As such, the
Best Health School's education programs are integral part of Kingsbrook’s effort to
improve access to quality care and education efforts. CPR (or cardiopulmonary
resuscitation) is a combination of chest compressions and rescue breathing
(mouth-to-mouth resuscitation). If someone isn't circulating blood
or breathing adequately, CPR can restore circulation of oxygen-rich blood
to the brain.
While the training is free and provided by Kingsbrook's Director of
Respiratory Services, the Certfication/Card fee is $25.00 and goes towards
processing with the American Heart Association.
The Best Health School also provides education on stroke awareness and
a myriad of chronic health conditions. For more information on our educational
schedule for 2017, visit our website at
