KINGSBROOK HOSTS ASTHMA SCREENING WEEK NOV. 25-27TH
Kingsbrook's
Best Health School provides free education and early detection options for Central Brooklyn
residents all year round. On Nov. 25-27th free asthma screenings will
be held for the entire week, from 11:00-2:00pm in the Pulmonary Lab, DMRI
3rd floor on our main campus at
585 Schenectady Avenue between Winthrop Street & Rutland Road.
Asthma impacts a large part of the Central Brooklyn community and needs
a level of treatment and understanding that is critical for living a normal
healthy life. The American lung Association describes, asthma as a lifelong
disease that causes wheezing, breathlessness, chest tightness, and coughing.
It can limit a person's quality of life. It is one of this country's
most common and costly diseases.

Best Health School is to provide better access to early detection efforts such as this to
help promote healthier lifesyles,". says Enid Dillard, Director of
Marketing & Public Affairs. “As such, the Best Health School's
education programs provide access to services that are specifically designed
for the uninsured of our community, and plays a large part of our effort
to improve access to quality care.”
