Kingsbrook's
Best Health School provides free education and early detection options for Central Brooklyn
residents all year round. On Saturday, August 25th, CPR training will
take place on our main campus at
585 Schenectady Avenue between Winthrop Street & Rutland Road in the Lillian Minkin Ballroom.
The mission of the
Best Health School is to provide better access to wellness information and screenings to promote
healthier communities in the borough of Brooklyn. As such, the
Best Health School's education programs are integral part of Kingsbrook’s effort to
improve access to quality care and education efforts. CPR (or cardiopulmonary
resuscitation) is a combination of chest compressions and rescue breathing
(mouth-to-mouth resuscitation). If someone isn't circulating blood
or breathing adequately, CPR can restore circulation of oxygen-rich blood
to the brain.
Instruction is free but $25 is required on attendance for certifcation
processing by the American Heart Association. For more information please
call Kingsbrook's Community Information Line at 718-604-5062.
