Rutland Nursing Home is located on the Brooklyn campus of Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center, is a 466-bed, long- and short-term care facility. Rutland offers skilled nursing, physical rehabilitation, comprehensive wound care, a specialty unit for ventilator-dependent residents, and an array of other sub-acute services. All the resources of the Medical Center, including general medical and sub-specialties, dialysis, surgical, orthopedic, psychiatric and dental services, and the emergency room, are immediately available to the residents. Nursing home residents are easily transferred to the acute services of the hospital if medical necessity requires, and are subsequently returned to the Nursing Home.
