The Department of Medicine is the largest medical, clinical department at the Medical Center. A large number of Internal Medicine specialists and subspecialists in the categories of Cardiology, Dermatology, Pulmonary Medicine, Hematology/Oncology, Nephrology (including dialysis unit), Infectious Diseases, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, Rhuematology, Critical Care Medicine, (Intensive Care Unit), and Geriatrics/ Long Term Care ( Rutland Nursing Home) provide a broad spectrum of services as well as consultative support to all other clinical departments in the hospital.
