Neurosurgery Team

John I. Miller, MD, FAANS, FACS

John I. Miller, MD, FAANS, FACS, has joined Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center as Director of the Neurosurgical Specialty Center, and Chief, of the Division of Neurosurgery, a central clinical pillar within Kingsbrook's Neurosciences Centers. In these roles, he will lead the multidisciplinary team of neurosurgeons and related surgical specialists and in partnership with other leaders within the Neurosciences Centers, will help to advance the clinical and business integration initiatives across the related services of rehabilitation, neurobehavioral health, neurology-stroke, neuroimaging, pain management and spine. Dr. Miller previously held the position of Chairman of Neurosurgery at Long lsland College Hospital, is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of both the American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS) and the Congress of Neurological Surgeons (CNS). Nicolas Post, MD, FAANS

Nicolas Post is a dedicated neurosurgeon treating patients living in Garden City, Brooklyn, Kew Gardens, and New York City, NY. He is certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery. Dr. Post graduated magna cum laude with his bachelor of arts in biochemistry from Columbia University in New York City, NY. He later earned his Doctor of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. Dr. Post served as a general surgery intern, a neurosurgical resident, and spine surgery fellow at the New York University Medical Center in New York City. Dr. Post has been the attending physician at various Brooklyn-area hospitals for a number of years. He earnestly tries to help all of his patients receive the individual attention and care they deserve.

Rehabilitation Institute

The Rehabilitation Institute at Kingsbrook is one of the oldest and most respected on the East Coast. Our program provides comprehensive acute care for patients who have suffered from a variety of conditions and injuries that leave them impaired either cognitively and / or physically. Our staff of caring, compassionate, and highly qualified professionals is here to help patients regain strength and quality of life, and includes—in addition to physiatrists—nurses, physical therapists, occupational / recreation therapists, speech pathologists, audiologists, vocational counselors, dietitians, neuropsychologists, and social workers / case managers. We design treatment programs that are individually customized to the needs of our patients.
