Brooklyn, NY—Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center (KJMC) celebrated the opening of its new Cardiology Suite with a ribbon cutting on Thursday, November 09 at 1:00 pm at hospital’s main campus at 585 Schenectady Avenue, between Winthrop Street and Rutland Road. The new suite, located on the 5th Floor of the Katz Building is equipped with echo machines and the most up to date digital technology in cardiac care including CardioMD Gamma Cameras and KinetDx Cardiology PACS.

Headed by Dr. Mohammad Zahir, Director of Medicine at Kingsbrook together with chief cardiologist Dr. Manfred Moskovits, and a team of highly skilled medical and administrative professionals, they will provide services in the areas of Echocardiograms and Nuclear Cardiology studies to individuals in need of this type of care and services right in our local community.  Additionally, Kingsbrook will work closely with staff from the cardiology department from Maimonides to increase both the quality of care and expertise rendered to patients with cardiac care concerns.

“We have a number of programmatic relationships with various institutions,” said Mr. Kevin Molloy, Executive Vice President and Chief Operations Office Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center. “We have partnered with Maimonides in the area of Cardiology Care because they have an outstanding reputation in this area. Most importantly, this partnership allows us to offer our community residents a complete continuum of care.”

He adds, “The addition of the Cardiology Suite to Kingsbrook’s program of services is a tremendous advancement for both our staff and our community, given the prevalence of heart disease among our community residents and our commitment to address those healthcare needs.”
