Brooklyn, NY-Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center is listed on "My Health Finder" Honor Roll for post-operative DVT and PE, and accidental puncture and laceration. Kingsbrook is one of 20 hospitals in the State of New York to receive "Top Hospital Recognition" and the only hospital in Brooklyn to be on this list.

Hospitals were evaluated based on mortality rates, patient safety indicators, two types of adverse events and participation in national safety programs. The analysis focused on areas where hospitals performed better than average. The top 15 percent of hospitals were selected for the Honor Roll. However, excluded from the Honor Roll were hospitals that scored in the bottom 50 percent of the Watch List or had more than two "worse than average" scores. The roster includes New York Presbyterian/Weil Cornell Center, New York University Hospital to name a few and to name a few.

The Honor Roll consists of hospitals who have treated at least thirty cases, and whose risk-adjusted mortality rate is statistically significantly lower than the state average mortality rate using a 95% confidence interval on a given indicator. The list is sorted by region, indicator, and city, respectively.
